This fleece is a good example to show the range of colors that can be found in a predominantly grey fleece. You can blend them all together, or choose to separate the light areas from the dark.

This wether was kept because consistently his fleeces are lovely.  This one is no exception. The crimp and softness show his  Finn heritage, but the luster is all Gotland. Lock lengths go to 4″ so combing is possible.

This fleece was taken 6 weeks prior to lambing, of mixed lengths (largely 3-5″). In the past, I’ve combed and carded fleeces from this ewe. She always produces a nice, dark charcoal yarn.

A short fleece, 2-3″, so suitable for carding. Soft hand. Edda was originally registered as a grey but it’s become clear she’s really fawn. Most of the fleece is a light ecru.

Celee was purchased as one of our foundation ewe lambs, but she has proven to be barren.  She has also proven to have a consistently lovely fleece so each time she’s shorn I remark that’s the reason she’s still here. A light grey, 4″ in length.
